Dealing the Nude paintings (term 1)

c0ftran-van-can.jpgIt is a paradox that conditions for the nude paintings aren’t advantageous, their quantity isn’t much but their market nearly doesn’t appear because the collectors aren’t interested in them very much. Although techniques and derivation of nude paintings have contributed to the history of  Vietnamese Fine Arts very much , it is supposed pessimistically that nude paintings are stepsons of Vietnamese Fine Arts.

10 artists drew pictures together in “one day” on the opening day of the anniversary

On the first day of the 1000th -year- Thang Long anniversary , 10 artists drew the capital scenary  with the title “one day”. They were drawing all day, and only on that “unique day”. The works of  “one day” will be on display in the café “Creation” on 36 Dien Bien Phu on October 15th.

 Most of them were young artists. Le Thiet Cuong who was the initiator, and Dao Hai Phong were the oldest artists among them.

Artist Le Anh Quan’s solo exhibition is on display from 25th to 29th of   January 2010, at the Viet Art Centre (on 42 Yet Kieu Str.). He was born in 1977. This isn’t his first solo exhibition but it is an important step in the young hard-working artist’s career.

Some people couldn’t understand what he painted about on the big canvas with dimmed colours whereas , in contrast, the leading professional artists such as Thanh Chuong, Dang Xuan Hoa attended and introduced the exhibition respectfully.

This is an event of the project “ Dong chay nghin nam” (a thousand-year flow) which is one of the series of the events about celebrating 1000-year-old Thang Long carried out by Dao Anh Khanh and his first two events are “ Hoi tu anh sang” ( the convergence of light) and “Cau am thanh” (the bridge of sound).

149 pictures belonging to the ancient and precious category of  Ha Noi, collected for ten years by the collector Pham Duc Si, will be displayed  at  Viet Art Centre in Ha Noi from September 9th. 

Owing to feeling insecure about the decline of Ha Noi traditional pictures and the basic spirit of old Ha Noi, collectors silently look for and collect precious sets of Hang Trong pictures, and Pham Duc Sy is one of them.
